daisy, final

Here is my main charachter Daisy, the crazy animal hitting octogenarian from my script for my short half live action half animation short film pushing out daisy. I have my bio but i am not going to put it up until after class. here are my photos of daisy so i can present.

Here are my charachters and the multiple poses of each.  My drawing skill is not the best but i am taking this class to learn the process and what goes into concept art so in the future when getting inital ideas down in storyboards the process should run smoother.  I have my 10 refrences but they are on my personal computer i will post them today when i get home with which reference is for which photo. until then ehres my sketches.

Rest of silhouette revisions

My silhouette of cab calloway was my favorite with adding his shadow behind him in a light shade of grey.  The main problem i had which was brought up is that cab had a bad right leg, so i created the rest of his leg which gives the photo a more natural look.  In the original photo i based this silhouette off cab was standing  next to a wall so i think i will go back to this again in the future and add the rest of a leg to the grey silhouette.

The silhouette of Jimi Hendrix was lots of fun.  I enjoyed artistic freedom with his hair making it blocked in a cool wavy pattern other than detailing every protruding strand of hair.  I recieved feed back that Jimis cig and hand looked a little unatural so i corrected his cigarette and tried to fix his hand a little bit.  When seeing the two Jimi's facing each other in this comparison i thought it would be cool when i finish him to have both silhouettes facing each other like here but have a very vibrantly colored background.

Solid Snake Silhouete

This is my second silhouete of Solid Snake.  The changes i made were basic but improved the quality of the photo.  Instead of trying to catch all the intricate parts of his clothes flapping in the wind and his hair i went around the image and curved it up and made it flow better.  Other than this i cleaned up the gun alot and gave more depth to the strap.

SIlhouete Studies part 1

This is my first silhouette study and revision.  I started with feedback i recieved that there was some slight bleeding of black coming from the silhouettes body, and also slight light black spots showing a bit of green from the orginal.  To correct this i simply cleaned up around the entire outside border to make it look more uniform and not out of place.  I than dropped the opacity of the pcture to see eveyrhting to fill in the lil blank spots.  I enjoyed the light version of black and decided to keep the look.
